10 Oct Happy Tail for Violet
I thought when I met Violet that it would be a good match but I didn’t realize how good it was to be for this reason: My dad has always been the caregiver, to us growing up, to my mom when she was sick, and recently to siblings needing assist after illnesses, etc. Violet, as a dog with special needs, has given him back the role as caregiver and the sense of being needed, which he enjoys, especially now in retirement. The three of them (dad and his other dog) are on the road again today on the way to AZ to my aunt’s who is having shoulder surgery this week. Chances are he will go onto CA to my sister’s after that so that they all can meet her. I can say that he is gaga over her!
