22 Dec Happy Tail for Louie (previously known as Phineas)
Our family wanted a dog for many years. We knew we wanted a rescue dog because it is important to help out homeless, abandoned and abused animals. After many years of waiting, we were finally able to get a dog! We looked at the dogs that were available for adoption, and we filled out the application. Some dogs that we really liked were already taken, and we were starting to wonder if we’d ever find a dog! Then our Mom saw Phineas on Facebook. He is a Maltese-mix puppy that was rescued from a shelter by a 4luvofdog foster mom. Our Mom immediately knew he would be a good fit for us. Our Mom and Dad went to meet him. They fell in love at first sight and now he is part of our family.
We have had Louie (formerly Phineas) since September. We named him “Chewy” Louie because he has chewed up lots of stuff, but he is only a puppy and he is still learning. We love to play chase, go get it, and we go for many walks. Louie is very smart, friendly and playful and has already learned a few tricks like sit, lay-down and high-fives. Louie has already graduated from Level 1 Obedience Training, and will continue training to become a therapy dog.
We love our Louie-dog, we are glad he’s in our family!!
