“George was my first adoption from 4 Luv of Dog Rescue. He is 15 years old and is doing very well. He has a little arthritis but other than that he is good. I learned a lot from George over the years, especially about resource guarding. He has seen many dogs come and go over the years, some as fosters and others that I adopted. I wouldn’t trade him for anything! Since adopting George, I have adopted other senior dogs needing a last chance, such as Cruz, Lumen, Honey and Barklee – all have since passed away. But I then adopted Kenzo and just recently Leon so the story goes on…there will be more fosters and probably more adoptions to come!
To highlight my newest adoption, I saw Leon on the website and he looked like one of my foster dogs that had recently been adopted. I kept thinking about him and just wasn’t sure it was the right time .So I contacted his foster and set up a meet and knew instantly that he belonged to me. Then I heard his story and well, the rest is history. I love the senior dogs, they are truly magical creatures!”
