30 Aug Happy Tail for Courage & Hailey!
Just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to 4LuvofDog for introducing us to our two best friends! Courage (previously known as Sawyer) came to us in November of 2010. I knew right away when I saw his picture on the website that he was the dog for us. He had been rescued from a puppy mill and was extremely shy and withdrawn at first, but also obviously a sweetheart. A month later, after noticing that Courage did a lot better with other dogs than with people, we decided to adopt another dog tohelp socialize him, and Hailey joined our family.
Hailey is silly, energetic, and a total diva–she has the most personality of any dog I’ve ever known and loves getting lots of attention and being told how pretty she is. She loves going for runs, sleeping in the middle of the bed, playing with her squeaky toys, and wrestling with Courage. Even though she’s fully grown, she still thinks she’s a lap dog and loves to snuggle.
Courage has come a long way from the scared little dog he was when we first met him. He is definitely a one of kind dog–still has hard time with strange people, but couldn’t be more affectionate or eager to please with the two of us. It melts our hearts to see Courage playing with Hailey, wagging his tail, and walking around the house with a smile on his face. Courage enjoys the simple pleasures in life, like a soft spot on the couch to sleep or playing in the yard with Hailey. He never has to be told twice to kennel up, sit to put his leash on, or any other command–he’s so focused on making us happy. He wakes up every morning so affectionate and excited that it’s hard to have a bad day after seeing him!
Both of our dogs are so different but together they make a great pair and have brought so much joy and love into our home. Thank you for all you do!
