21 May Happy Tail for Bufford
Buford, the Blue Tick Coonhound, joined our family in October of 2009. He is a cute, fun and curious dog to be around. It seems like he may have been abused in his prior life due to some of his very noticeable dislikes such as the basement and bonfires. He has overcome his fear of the basement and actually spends time there when we have a bonfire in the backyard!
He can be very independent at times and has claimed his own bedroom in the house. He prefers to sleep alone on warm summer nights but during the winter he knows how to snuggle in with us. And snore…boy…can he snore!!!!!
He gets along well with others and has even been recognized at the park from his picture on the 4 Luv of Dog website!
He loves to go for long walks – but gets really sad when you turn to head for home. Not sure how he knows when we make the turn but we go from a good 4 mph walk down to about 1 mph. If we turn and head the other way we are back up to 4 mph!
He also loves to ride in the vehicles with us and let the wind blow his ears and lips! Being a hound dog – he has quite the nose on him. Not necessarily for other animals but for sweets and treats!
We could go on and on and on about Buford as he is such a cool dog and we are very happy to have found him.
