Foster Home Feedback
12/19/24 Foster Feedback: Cozy came to the rescue just in the nick of time. She was a very pregnant girl and became a mama within 36 hours of settling into her new foster home. She was a great mom to her six babies but is now rested and ready for undivided attention.
Cozy starts out being hesitant with new people, but after she gains your trust, she will be your dedicated lap dog. She does put out a soft growl if she is unfamiliar with or does not recognize visitors. She does not like sudden movements or loud noises when she meets new people. After slow introductions, she is good with adults and children if they are calm and respectful to her.
Cozy came from a warmer climate and is not loving her first snow-filled, sub-zero winter. She is potty trained and walks well on a leash. Bunnies and squirrels easily distract her while on walks. When this happens, she forgets that the objective of the mission is to go to the bathroom.
Cozy is crate trained. She isn’t a huge fan right when she gets in her kennel, but settles in within moments, as long as she has a soft blankie to snuggle.
Cozy likes to chew on Nyla bones, squeaky toys, and plush toys. She was in a house with other dogs when she first arrived at the rescue. She got along well with these dogs. She has started to initiate play with her foster family and definitely has “Fear Of Missing Out” syndrome. Wherever you are is where she wants to be. Cozy is a sweet young girl looking for someone to love her and give her the best forever home.
** Cozy is anaplasmosis positive. This is a tick-borne illness, and she is currently being treated with Doxycycline.
