** Kenny has been diagnosed with a grade 1 luxating patella of the left knee. This means it is possible  for the kneecap to move out of the patellar groove. This is a common orthopedic issue in small breed dogs.  At this time it is not painful and does not cause any trouble. Some dogs will live with a low grade medial patellar luxation their entire life with no problems, however in some dogs it can be progressive and surgical intervention may become necessary

Foster Home Feedback

2/9/2025 Foster Feedback: Kenny Chinsy is a silly, awkward, curious, friendly, little fluffy goofball who is interested in anything and everything going on. If he could talk, I think he would constantly ask, "What are you doing? Why are you doing that?"
He is attached at the hip to our chihuahua. I think Kenny wants to play at times but mostly he just wants to be next to him. He is very respectful of our dogs. Kenny isn't into playing with toys very often but I do see him try to carry a small Benebone around now and then. He mostly likes to snuggle and look out the window.
Kenny was very vocal and emotional when he first arrived at the rescue. He howled and barked quite a bit but after about 24 hours he settled down. I think change is hard for him at first, but now he is a pretty quiet dog. When our dogs bark at activity outside, Kenny looks at them like he cannot figure out what the big deal is. Sometimes when we leave, he will bark and howl but he calms down shortly after. He has the cutest little forlorn howl.
Kenny is crate-trained. He is doing well with potty training but isn't completely trained yet, although, with the cold weather, I'm not sure how much is related to not wanting to be outside. We let him out regularly, especially when he goes to the door. He is more likely to go potty outside if he goes out there with our dogs.
We adore Kenny and we know he's going to be a wonderful addition to someone's family!
