Foster Home Feedback
2/2/2025 Foster Feedback: Rosemarie has come a long way in the last few weeks. She has improved her weight from mid-20 pounds to 34.4 pounds! She came to us not being kennel trained or house trained, and she is now trained to go into the kennel! It is not her favorite thing, however, but she will stay there for a few hours. Rosemarie uses the doggie door to go outside and go potty, and we have not had any more accidents in the house. Food must be kept off the counter and put away as she likes to eat what's left out (probably due to lack of food before coming to the shelter). Rosemarie gets on very well with our dog and has learned how to play. She likes to chew on sticks and walks very well on a leash. You have to be very careful and not let her loose because she tends to run-we think this is due to curiosity and wanting to see what is around! We don't kennel her at night, but we find that she is a night owl. She likes to go in and out and is restless until the early hours of the morning. Rosemarie has been quite easy to train and knows how to sit and lay on command. She likes to exercise and go outside and play, but she also likes to lie down on the couch and snuggle. She easily makes connections with people and will stay close to the person she connects with.
