Happy Tail for Jacklyn (FKA Giza)

“Jacklyn found her furever home with us at the beginning of February this year (2024) and we couldn’t be more thankful for her and the joy she brings to our family.

A little back story, at the end of 2023 we had to say goodbye to our 13 year old Siberian Husky, Bloo. Bloo had been my sweet girl since 2010 and the big sister to our son, Parker and Golden retriever pup, Meekah.

The loss of Bloo hit us all pretty hard, we didn’t quite know life without 2 dogs to love and spoil. So we made the big decision to turn to 4 Luv of Dog Rescue, to give a pup in need all that extra love we had to offer.

Though I found myself hesitant in taking on a puppy again, as our Golden Retriever just turned 2 years old. There was something about this photo of a little white, 4 month old German Shepard (Giza), with her floppy ears, too big for her little head, that called to us.

Still feeling a bit nervous, we set up a meeting with Jacki’s (fka Giza) foster mom. From the moment that sweet and shy, floppy eared pup walked in to our home things seemed to fall into place.

Meekah and Jacklyn are now inseparable, like 2 partners in crime. There’s rarely a moment where they aren’t playing and wrestling throughout the house, no matter who or what is in their path. Jacki is my little shadow and best friend, so sweet and gentle, always ready for a loving cuddle…especially in the bed.

In so many unexplainable ways Jacklyn reminds me of my sweet girl Bloo, it truly has me believing the universe and/or Bloo sent Jacki to us that February day.

I have attached some photos to be shared with everyone who helped cared for Jacklyn. She has gotten so big, and definitely grown into those once floppy ears.

Apologies for the long winded message but as you can hopefully tell, we love our Jacki girl and the story that brought her to us.”
